My favorite books are the "Harry Potter" books and the "Chronicles of Narnia" books. They're fun to read and easy to understand.

They're not THAT long, you know. None of the books are over 1,000 pages. Besides, if you take it easy and read little bits now and then (maybe everyday), you may find them enjoyable.

I also recently read "The House of the Scorpion". It's an awesome book.

I am now reading the "Eragon" books. They sound good.
